Last weekend I presented a seminar on business & legal essentials for early career musicians, composers and teachers. The workshop was hosted by FineMusic FM102.5 at their new Learning Centre and supported by Carroll & O’Dea Lawyers. My colleague and guitarist-turned-journalist-turned-lawyer Martin Slattery spoke about copyright basics and participants also learned about media presentation skills (Michael Morton-Evans) and recording (Jayson McBride).
Invitees were all talented prizewinners from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and formed an enthusiastic and inquisitive audience.
Following the success of this inaugural workshop, work has begun on planning future events.
If you or a friend or colleague would be interested in attending future workshops please complete the form below and subscribe to this blog (see bottom of the main page) where I will announce future sessions. Your information will be collected solely for the purpose of compiling a list of interested workshop participants and may be shared with FineMusic for this purpose.
Please note that workshops are at this stage designed for early career musicians, composers and teachers.
